Practicing the lines

1
Dutch ’Ya Just Love OPI?
I have had this polish for so long and this is the first time I put it on (as far as I remember 😛 ). I was pretty sure it wasnt as beautiful as all the swatches made it look. But it is! It is!

This is me practicing the lines. I really want to be able to move the brush on my nail and be able to breath, both at the same time. Haha!

Ah well!! All in good time! 🙂

Purple Rainbow

1
Bourjois Rainbow Apparition

I have had two nail-fails in two days. I was disappointed and unmotivated. The best way to get over that is to do something simple, clean and easy. I usually turn to pinterest for inspiration but I came across this in my reader and my problem was solved.
Just one polish and almost no skill required. 😉

Brilliant eh!? 😀

Oh! and still stuck with the gradients. 😛

Fantasy drama

1
Without topcoat

When I said I was working on the gradients, I was not kidding. I am having so much fun dab dabbing! 😀
I wasn’t sure how these shades will pair with each other, but I think the delicate green and the striking teal work beautifully together.

With topcoat

1

These are two of the Limited Edition nail paints from Lakme’s Royal Opulence by Sabyasachi. I googled that! 😛 They are both gorgeous colors. Two coats here with topcoat. Dry fast. The shade Green Drama must be a relaunch because I saw the exact color in Lakme’s color crush range which is 100 bucks cheaper than these (?). And as beautiful as the green is, the teal is the stunner of this collection.

One for the Crimson Red!

1
Lotus Herbals Crimson Red, Sally Hansen Black Out, Nyx Dark Glitter

I have a cousin who is crazy about the red-black pairing. She’d love these. I like them too. What I do not like is the cleanup. Now to the gradient. I am working on it. I should have a good one by the end of month…or by the end of next month. 😛

2

And something totally unexpected happened while I was doing the gradient. I have my first completely used up bottle of polish. It felt good scooping the last bit of polish. Well timed too,as I was doing a gradient.I am not big red polish person, I think this was the only true red creme polish I had and it was only 8ml. which explains how managed to finish it. Anyway! There was never a better reason to buy a new polish. Huh?! 🙂

Lady Luck & the white knight

1
Sally Hansen Lady Luck
I dont remember which white polish I used here, so this one time I will say- a white is a white is white. Ha! I love white. I love white a little too much actually.

2

One of these days I will go ahead and fix the lighting for my pictures. So that I can be happy with my posts. Or I will soon write a disclaimer in the sidebar- All polishes look better in person. All pictures on this blog suck are misleading.

Chambor Intense 472, China Glaze Spontaneous

I picked up a new polish from Chambor. A very pretty and very glossy coral creme. I was so enamored by it that I dared to do a gradient again. Yup! Gradients make me nervous. 😛 This one turned out okay till I topcoated it. The topcoat somehow washed away the purple because I am very sure it looked darker earlier. Stranger things have happened so I will let this one pass. 😉

1

I am in love with the accent.I rarely ever feel that way about my nails, so yes strangeness continues. 😛

3

And the lazy people at Chambor should have named the polishes!! A number! Really!?

Yell-ow for the sun

1
Lotus Herbal Crimson, Zoya Pippa

2

Finally the sun is shining again, here. I was in mood for a bright cheery mani. Yellow= Cheer. I like pairing yellow with brights- pink, orange, red. I went with red this time. The pointer is my favourite.

The happy Rose buds

1
When I sat down to do my nails today, I had no idea what I wanted to do. So I picked up Jo. Then picked up two acrylic colors, one of which I was sure was eggplant. It was blue. But I am very happy with the end result. Even the messy Rose buds look right, to me anyway. 😀
