According to the Zoya website “Avril can be best described as: Soft neutral pink with light brown undertones in a milky creme base.” This here is three coats but I mostly do two only.It dries very glossy too.

Holi, the festival of color, marks the beginning of Spring for Hindus. Holi is all about color.
Splatter mani is perfect for Holi. No brainer!
I clearly underestimated the work that you need to put into something that looks so random and effortless 😀 Its like the messy ponytail, or the no-makeup look. Its deceptive! 😛 Plus it was a big challenge for my OCD fuelled nerves. They were least impressed!
Finally!! Few pictures I am really happy to post. I adore these two polishes together! The dots! These random ones, I mess them up every time. They came out nice for a change. And my poor thumb makes an entry. It is recovering from a nasty burn.
There is a common theme in all these manis. None of them wanted to be here. But there are only so many pictures you can keep between the keep’em-chuck’em folders. 😛
This one comes from Lucy’s Stash. I memorized the dot placement as well. LOL. Did this well past midnight in low light, had no idea where the polish was going! I woke up to see what a mess it was. 😀 I really want to do this again in pink, white and purple.
Unimaginative and blah! But but but….I saw a post on One Nail to Rule Them All (Cool Blog Name!) where she used gel pen. Gel Pen!!!I had to try it pronto. I hunted all the gel pens I had lying around and went around testing. Brilliant idea this one!!
I wanted to get a hang of this gel pen, but the base was not completely dry. Hence I had to keep my hand light. Well light and steady isnt happening here anytime soon. SO next time I will work on my patience. Tough one that too!! The pointer and pinky again a tutorial from Lucy’s Stash. 🙂
“Mad Hatter: “Why is a raven like a writing-desk?”
“Have you guessed the riddle yet?” the Hatter said, turning to Alice again.
“No, I give it up,” Alice replied: “What’s the answer?”
“I haven’t the slightest idea,” said the Hatter”
This was my first attempt at glitter gradient, with great help from this video tutorial . Breathtakingly beautiful nail art there!!!
It is my favourite pink at the moment. The formula on this is problematic but manageable. Its dries darker on nails than in the bottle also it is tad more coral-y in real life than this picture shows.
Awful sponging apart, I loved this mani and I love these two polishes together. They need to be dot-ted together. 😛 Very soon
First I wanted white nails. Then I thought about Dandy lyin’ around, so I added white shimmer. Then I wanted to add some color. Ha! So the multi color glitter.
Then I got busy, which was a good thing actually. 😛
I fell in love with this mani by Chalkboard Nails. So this is my sad little version, which I happen to love. I am a big fan of geometric prints. So this is right up my alley. I will re do this again.
The polishes I used were Orly Lemonade, Lotus Pink Doll & Deep Sea
Let’s not call this spring-y. 😀
I have no idea why these pictures turned out so bad. Bad light may be. Playfull Pink is a gorgeous bright pink.I loved the contrast with white and kept this mani for two days. It is a big deal because not a single flower in that mani is how it should have been. 😛 I am finally embracing the imperfections/limitations. Ha!!
